Sunapee is where we are, so it is where we move fastest. A lot of the housing around the lake started life as a seasonal camp and got converted to year round living somewhere along the way, and those conversions are where we find the most interesting problems: a roof and an attic that were never built to deal with a full New Hampshire winter, insulation added later without any thought to ventilation, and additions that met the original roof at an angle nobody flashed properly. Add the tree cover down near the water, which keeps north facing slopes damp and mossy, and you get roofs that age unevenly across one house.
